From WES account to finished report
- 1Pick the right evaluationECA for Canadian immigration. Document-by-Document or Course-by-Course for US study, jobs or licensing.
- 2Create a WES account and applyYou get a WES reference number. Write it down. It must go with your transcript.
- 3Check your Required Documents listOn apps.wes.org/required-documents choose Nigeria, UNIPORT and your degree. Follow that list exactly.
- 4Pay WESBy card or Convera. WES won't complete your report until it's paid.
- 5Ask UNIPORT to send your transcriptAsk Examinations and Records Office how they send transcripts to WES. It must come from UNIPORT directly: a sealed envelope signed across the flap with your WES reference number on the front, or an approved electronic channel.
- 6Upload your degree certificate if askedOnly if your Required Documents list includes it. A clear scan or photocopy.
- 7Track and waitWES starts once every official document has arrived. Checking takes about 2 weeks, then evaluation 1 to 2 weeks (Course-by-Course 2 to 4 weeks).

The school sends it, not you. A paper envelope must be sealed and signed across the flap, with your WES reference number on the front.

No. WES says official academic records must be sent by the institution that issued them.
Only if your Required Documents list asks for it. Check the list for your degree on the WES website.
Five years from the date it is issued, for Canadian immigration.
No. Since January 2022 paper documents for WES Canada and WES USA go to the WES Global Documentation Centre in Ontario, Canada.
No. ICAS, IQAS, CES and ICES are also designated by IRCC for ECAs. Doctors, pharmacists and architects have their own bodies.
