Send your UNILAG transcript to WES

WES names the University of Lagos as an institution that sends records to it directly online. That makes UNILAG one of the easiest Nigerian schools to get evaluated from. Here's the whole journey, from reference number to report.

Step by step

From WES account to finished report

  1. 1Pick the right evaluationECA for Canadian immigration. Document-by-Document or Course-by-Course for US study, jobs or licensing.
  2. 2Create a WES account and applyYou get a WES reference number. Write it down. It must go with your transcript.
  3. 3Check your Required Documents listOn apps.wes.org/required-documents choose Nigeria, UNILAG and your degree. Follow that list exactly.
  4. 4Pay WESBy card or Convera. WES won't complete your report until it's paid.
  5. 5Ask UNILAG to send your transcriptApply on the UNILAG Records Portal, choose WES as the destination and enter your WES reference number. UNILAG uploads to WES directly.
  6. 6Upload your degree certificate if askedOnly if your Required Documents list includes it. A clear scan or photocopy.
  7. 7Track and waitWES starts once every official document has arrived. Checking takes about 2 weeks, then evaluation 1 to 2 weeks (Course-by-Course 2 to 4 weeks).

For UNILAG you normally won't need these, because the transcript goes online. A paper envelope must be sealed and signed across the flap, with your WES reference number on the front.

What causes delays

Avoid these

Reference number missingWES can't match your transcript to your file. Make sure your school puts it on the envelope or electronic submission.
Envelope not sealed or not signed across the flapAsk the school to resend it sealed, with a stamp or signature across the flap.
Only part of your record sentWES needs every year's courses and grades.
Name differs from your WES applicationUse the name on your school records, or add documents linking both names.
Sent to an old New York address or a personal emailAll paper goes to Ontario, Canada. Electronic records must use an approved channel.
You sent your own photocopiesWES only evaluates official records sent by the school in the format it asks for.
