Has DELSU Released the Third Batch Admission List for 2026/2027?

Not yet. DELSU has not posted a notice of a third batch admission list for the 2026/2027 session on its official news page. If you have not been offered admission, keep checking your status, because DELSU releases admission in batches and the next one can come without much warning.

Which DELSU admission batches are out for 2026/2027?

DELSU does not always number its batches in public notices, so the clearest sign is what the university tells admitted students to do. In a notice in mid-October it asked newly admitted students to upload their O'level results on the JAMB portal by Friday 16 October 2026. The same notice told students to change their course on JAMB to the course DELSU offered them on its portal.

That tells you admission offers for 2026/2027 have already gone out. What DELSU has not posted is any notice of a third batch.

Last session gives a useful guide to the pattern. For 2025/2026, DELSU announced the first batch on 17 September 2025, then the second UTME batch together with the first Direct Entry batch on 14 October 2025. Each release came with a short notice on the news page telling applicants to check their portals.

Why you see "third batch released" posts online

Every admission season, posts on Facebook and WhatsApp claim a new batch is out. Some are early, some are about last session, and some are guesses. We have watched students pay "processing fees" to people who said they could add a name to a batch. Nobody can do that.

Trust two places only: DELSU's own news page and your own status on the DELSU portal and JAMB CAPS (JAMB's admission acceptance page). If a post does not link to one of those, treat it as a rumour.

How to check if you are on a DELSU admission list

It takes a few minutes and you only need your JAMB registration number.

  1. Open the DELSU admission status checker on the official site and enter your JAMB registration number. Our DELSU admission page links to it.
  2. If it shows an offer, note the course. It may not be the course you applied for.
  3. Log in to JAMB CAPS on the JAMB portal and look for the DELSU offer under Admission Status.
  4. Accept the offer on CAPS. The offer is not final until you accept it there.
  5. Check that your O'level results are uploaded on JAMB. A missing result is the most common reason we see a CAPS offer stuck.

If DELSU shows an offer but CAPS does not, give it a few days. The two systems do not update at the same moment.

What to do after you see your name

Accept on CAPS first, then pay the acceptance fee through the payment route on the DELSU portal only. Never pay into a personal account. Our DELSU acceptance fee page explains how the payment works, and our guide to what to do after paying the acceptance fee covers clearance and registration.

If DELSU offered you a different course, change your course on JAMB to match it. The October notice made this a requirement, and a mismatch holds up clearance later.

What to do if your name is not on any list yet

  1. Keep checking the DELSU status checker every few days.
  2. Make sure your O'level results are uploaded on JAMB and that DELSU is your first choice.
  3. Read DELSU's news page each week for a new batch notice.
  4. If your score is close to the cut-off for your course, consider a related course with a lower mark when change of course opens.

We also keep the DELSU admission list page up to date as new notices appear.

Frequently asked questions

Has DELSU released the third batch for 2026/2027?

No. DELSU has posted no notice of a third batch on its official news page.

How many batches does DELSU release?

It varies by session. For 2025/2026, DELSU announced a first batch and then a second UTME batch with the first Direct Entry batch. Any further batch is announced on the news page.

How will I know if DELSU has given me admission?

Check the DELSU admission status checker with your JAMB number, then confirm the offer on JAMB CAPS.

Can someone add my name to a DELSU batch for a fee?

No. Only DELSU makes admission offers, through its portal and JAMB CAPS. Anyone asking for money to add your name is a scammer.
