Short answer: DELSU has released two batches of the 2026/2027 UTME admission list so far: the first on Wednesday 9 September 2026 and the second on Wednesday 16 September 2026. As of 3 November 2026, DELSU has not announced a third batch, and it has not published a date when admission closes. If you have not seen an offer yet, your chance is not over, but you should keep your JAMB profile ready and check your status every few days.
Which batches are out
- First batch (UTME): released Wednesday 9 September 2026 on the DELSU admission portal
- Second batch (UTME): released Wednesday 16 September 2026 on the DELSU admission portal
- Third batch: not announced as of 3 November 2026
Our team at the campus cybercafe confirmed the two release dates, and that both lists went up on the DELSU portal. We also checked the news page on delsu.edu.ng on 3 November 2026. There is no third batch notice there.
You may see Facebook and TikTok posts saying "DELSU third batch is out". Most of them are recycled from earlier sessions. Check your own status on the portal before you believe any of them.
Will DELSU release a third batch?
DELSU has not said. What we can show you is how admission moved last session, because it tells you admission does not stop in September.
For the 2025/2026 session, DELSU's own news page shows:
- First batch released on 17 September 2025
- Vacancies advertised on 20 September 2025, closing on 29 September 2025
- Second batch for UTME and first batch for Direct Entry released on 14 October 2025
- Vacancies into new and available programmes advertised on 3 November 2025
- A notice on 31 January 2026 telling candidates to accept their admission on JAMB, with a deadline of Monday 2 February 2026
So last session, offers and vacancy adverts were still coming out in November, and candidates were still accepting admission in early February. This session is running earlier. That is no promise of a third batch. It is a good reason to keep checking.
What to do while you wait
- Check your status on DELSU's official checker. Go to delsu.edu.ng/DisplayList and enter your JAMB registration number. Direct Entry candidates use delsu.edu.ng/DEDisplayList. You can also log in to the admission portal at portal.delsuces.online.
- Check JAMB CAPS too. Your offer must show on JAMB CAPS, and that is where you accept it. Some candidates see the offer on one and not the other for a few days.
- Make sure your O'level result is on your JAMB profile. On 15 October 2026 DELSU told newly admitted candidates to upload their O'level results on the JAMB portal by Friday 16 October 2026. If yours is still missing, sort it out at a JAMB-accredited centre now, because a missing result can hold up your admission even after you are offered a place.
- Match your JAMB course to your DELSU offer. The same notice told candidates whose DELSU offer is for a different course to change their course on the JAMB portal to the course DELSU offered them.
- Watch for vacancy adverts. Last session DELSU advertised vacancies twice after the first list. If you were not admitted into your first choice course, a vacancy advert is your next route.
Why a friend got in before you
DELSU ranks candidates with a combined score: 70 per cent from your UTME score and 30 per cent from your O'level result. Post-UTME screening for 2026/2027 has finished, so any new offers will come from candidates who were already screened. Courses fill at different speeds, so a friend with a lower score in a less popular course can get an offer before you.
When you get your offer
- Accept it on JAMB CAPS straight away.
- Pay the acceptance fee. Our DELSU acceptance fee guide shows the amount and the payment steps.
- Watch the portal for school fees, screening and registration notices.
Do not pay anyone who says they can move you into a batch or add your name to the list. Admission offers only come through the DELSU portal and JAMB CAPS.
