Creatinine Clearance & eGFR Calculator

Compute estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) and Creatinine Clearance ($CrCl$) via the official Cockcroft-Gault formula.

Patient Parameters
Enter age, biological sex, weight, and serum creatinine level.
Renal Clearance Outcome
84.0 mL/min
Cockcroft-Gault Creatinine Clearance ($CrCl$)
CKD Stage Classification
Stage 2: Mildly Decreased Function
eGFR 60–89 mL/min
Working Formula:

CrCl = [ (140 - 45) × 70 ] ÷ [ 72 × 1.10 ]
= 84.0 mL/min

Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) Stages & Clinical Significance

Stage 1 & 2 (eGFR ≥ 60)
Normal or mildly reduced kidney function. Standard dosing for most renally cleared medications.
Stage 3a & 3b (eGFR 30–59)
Moderate kidney disease. Dose reductions often necessary for aminoglycosides, NSAIDs, and metformin.
Stage 4 & 5 (eGFR < 30)
Severe impairment or end-stage renal disease (ESRD). Dialysis planning and nephrologist consultation indicated.
